About Pearl

Welcome to the artistic world of Pearl White, an introspective artist hailing from Massachusetts. She skillfully wields oil paints on different surfaces, driven by a fascination with oil’s rich texture. Her portfolio shares the delicate blooms of her garden to the captivating allure of her distinct Angular Artscapes, which seamlessly merge geometry and realism.

Pearl's artistic journey is a tapestry woven across continents. Born in Grenada, raised in Canada, and having resided on Grand Cayman, she eventually found herself immersed in the dynamic tapestry of the United States' art scene in 2019.

This creative journey traces back to Pearl's restless childhood, where the only respite from constant movement was paper and crayons. Although encouraged to explore other paths, her innate desire to create endured. This path carried her across landscapes and borders, eventually converging into a rich artistic narrative that resonates deeply with her introverted spirit.

Intrigued by the process of Indirect Painting, Pearl revels in the layering technique, where each layer informs the next. Her choice of canvas - linen, canvas on aluminum, or copper - adds a unique dimension to her work. While capturing the intricacies of realistic flowers fills her with delight, the enigmatic challenge of Angular Artscapes ignites her passion. These pieces, a fusion of geometry and imagination, often lead her to devise ingenious painting methods.

Amid the unexpected grip of the Covid-19 lockdown, Pearl found solace in her garden, birthing a series of floral portraits. These pieces not only capture intricate details but also gently remind us of life's fleeting essence. On the other hand, Angular Artscapes prompted Pearl to embrace fresh perspectives, a testament to her commitment as each creation demands meticulous attention. Crafting a single piece extends from 40 to 60 hours, with each segment meticulously painted in layers.

Pearl's art evokes a sense of joy and tranquility, offering a respite from the cacophony of the world. Through meticulous selection of materials, she ensures that her artwork not only speaks to the present moment but also leaves a lasting impression for generations.
